After taking a stroll through the forest, we will continue through the Tizi N’talghamt pass to Midelt, passing through the sublime Ziz Gorges, which were carved through volcanic rocks. You will have plenty of time to make stops and take in the magnificent views of the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Palm trees – the second largest river in Morocco. As you take in their beautiful songs and enjoy a cup of tea, you will be introduced to the nomads and their unique way of life. Afterward, you can explore Mefiss, a place renowned for the Berber people and their traditional eyeliner mining. The French army also lived here during its colonial days, so you can take some time to appreciate the historical significance of the area. We will find ourselves in the small town of Bomalen Dades, located in the Tinghir Province of Drâa-Tafilalet, Morocco. The people of the Dades Valley, including those of Boulmane Dades, are Berber and their history has been shaped by many tribes such as the Ait Atta tribe in Jbel Saghro, the Ait Sedrat tribe, and the Ait Hdiddou.
